Let’s face it. You live in the big city. The trains are smelly, crowded, grey, and infested with pizza loving rats. We spent the entire winter complaining about it. Well, here’s your excuse to getting your bikes tuned up, challenge yourself to bike to work, and to meet other cyclers!
2019 BIKE MONTH EVENTS
Now through May 4th - 2019 Bike New York Expo is the largest Bike Expo. Cyclist from around the country cycle through to meet, greet and talk shop with 100+ exhibitors. 10a - 6pm | 200 South St., Manhattan - Free
May 11th - Discover Prospect Park at night with a Peaceful ride that visits of the park’s little-known treasures with Time’s Up! 9pm | Northern entrance of Prospect Park where Flatbush Ave., Eastern Pkwy, Union St. and Prospect Park West all intersect.
May 12th - Join CycloFemme for their yearly women’s cycling day celebrated with rides around the globe! Join WE Bike NYC for a fun and relaxed ride along the Brooklyn waterfront. 11am, wheels down 11:30am, Brooklyn Bridge Park across from Pier 5 (at the end of Joralemon St.)
May 16th - Join 718 Cyclery for a FREE Basic Maintenance and Flat Fixes class. This class covers basic points of do-it-yourself maintenance to get you self-sufficient with you bike. 7pm - 9p | 254 3rd Ave, Brooklyn
May 18th - Brooklyn Bike Jumble - Join NY Parks at the Old Stone House in Park Slope, Brooklyn for bargains, replacement parts, and new and used bicycles. 10a - 4pm | Old Stone House in J.J. Byrne Playground 336 3rd St, Brooklyn, NY 11215
May 19th - Join WE Bike NYC for a springtime ride to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx! 10am; wheels down at 10:30am, Meet at Columbus Circle just inside Central Park, in front of the USS Maine Monument, Manhattan
